Future 3D elevators?

The L-TEC Outdoorlift is a self-propelled cabin lift featuring an innovative drive system with all-terrain capabilities. It negotiates changes in direction and inclines smoothly and has excellent potential geometrical layouts. The only question left is the maximum speed limit for future mass transport applications.

See for yourselves:

Another rather more traditional traction drive elevator, Is in operation at Stockholm’s Globen Sky View. The car diameter is 4.5M and wights 7 tonnes, the height of travel is 115 meters, the rail weights 42 ton and each ride takes about 20 minute.
